ABOUT CFD VISION
CFD that ends in a decision, not a contour plot.
CFD Vision is a Sydney-based computational fluid dynamics consultancy founded by Dr. Ryan Mozafari. We provide CFD consulting, simulation and analysis for engineers, researchers and product teams, turning complex flow and thermal problems into clear engineering decisions.

THE FOUNDER
Why CFD Vision exists
Too many simulations finish as colourful images without answering the engineering question that matters: what should change, and why?
CFD Vision was founded by Dr. Ryan Mozafari to close that gap. Every consulting project begins with understanding the engineering decision, then builds the appropriate simulation approach around the problem, the available evidence and the decision that needs to be made.
Ryan holds a PhD in Engineering from Macquarie University, with a background in advanced thermal-fluid engineering and numerical methods. He has more than 10 years of experience applying CFD to industrial, academic and real-world engineering problems.
His work spans complex flow, heat transfer, thermal-fluid systems and numerical simulation, with an emphasis on connecting CFD analysis and simulation to practical engineering decisions rather than treating CFD as an end in itself.
Alongside consulting, Ryan works with engineers and postgraduate researchers through CFD training and academic support.
HOW WE WORK
Five checks between your question and our answer
01
Scope the decision
We agree what the simulation must answer, and which result would actually change your design or engineering decision.
02
Choose the physics
Turbulence, heat transfer, multiphase flow and other relevant physical models are selected for the problem and justified in the analysis.
03
Verify the mesh
Mesh-independence studies show that the answer does not depend on an unnecessarily coarse or unstable computational mesh.
04
Validate
Results are checked against experimental, analytical or published data whenever suitable validation evidence exists.
05
Recommend
You get findings, their engineering interpretation, and a clear recommendation on what the results mean for your design or problem.

CFD Prediction of Water Circulation Patterns in a Dam Reservoir
A 3D CFD model was developed to predict circulation patterns in a dam reservoir and evaluate the influence of wind-driven airflow on water hydrodynamics. VOF and k-ω SST modeling showed that surface airflow significantly affected internal recirculation, providing useful insight for reservoir operation, hydraulic assessment, and water-management applications.

Advanced CFD Simulation of Microdroplet Boiling and Freezing on Microstructured Surfaces
Advanced CFD simulations were used to investigate microdroplet impact on heated and cooled microstructured surfaces. The project captured boiling and vapor generation on hot surfaces, as well as freezing and mushy-zone formation on cold surfaces, providing detailed insight into transient microscale phase-change behavior for advanced R&D applications.

2D and 3D CFD Simulation of Microdroplet Impact on Microstructured Surfaces
2D and 3D VOF simulations were used to investigate microdroplet impact on different microstructured surfaces. The analysis captured spreading, recoil, contact behavior, and rebound while examining the effects of impact conditions and microscale surface geometry for advanced multiphase-flow research and engineered-surface development.
Product Development
Simulation-led design for engineering development and testing, from CAD concept to validated prototype.
CFD Training
Ansys Fluent training and academic CFD support for engineers, postgraduate researchers and teams.
