Multiphase & Process Flow CFD Projects

Multiphase CFD simulation tracks how liquids, gases and particles interact, which often decides whether a process works reliably. These projects cover cavitation in centrifugal slurry pumps, free-surface vortices in mixing tanks, fine-particle separation in hydrocyclones, resin infusion through fibrous preforms, and microdroplet impact, boiling and freezing on microstructured surfaces. Depending on the physics, the work uses VOF interface tracking, Eulerian–Lagrangian particle models, cavitation models or phase-change modelling. The results reveal what is hard to see in a real vessel or device: dead zones, air entrainment, last-to-fill regions, particle trajectories and vapour formation. They support pharmaceutical, mining, composite and process engineering teams in improving uniformity, yield and equipment life.
