CFD Simulation Projects

Aerodynamics & External Flow CFD Projects

External aerodynamics CFD shows how air moves around a body and where the forces on it come from. These projects use full 3D simulation to predict drag, lift and downforce, locate flow separation, and resolve wake and vortex structures that are difficult to measure in a wind tunnel. The work covers commercial aircraft, high-performance vehicles, horizontal- and vertical-axis wind turbines, and wind flow around buildings and ventilation structures. Each study pairs a mesh refined at junctions, edges and wakes with a turbulence model chosen for the flow regime, so the results point to specific geometry changes rather than general trends. Typical outcomes include ranked drag contributors, lift balance, torque and wake recovery, and pedestrian-level wind conditions.
